Our Story
It started with biryani.
Bike2B started the way most good ideas start: a few friends were hungry, and someone said "let's just bike there instead of driving." There was Paradise Biryani Pointe, a few miles down the road. We showed up sweaty, ordered too much food, and had a great time.
Somebody suggested we do it again. Then again. Pretty soon we had a running joke: any destination is fair game, as long as it starts with B. Bike2Biryani. Bike2Brewery. Bike2Brunch. Bike2Burrito. The name stuck, and so did the group — B2B, or Bike2B.
We are, on purpose, not a serious cycling club. Nobody's chasing a Strava segment. We roll at the pace of the slowest rider, we stop for photos, and we always end somewhere with food. If you own a bike and can keep it upright for a few miles, you're already qualified.
The one place we do get serious is distance: two years running, a group of us has taken on B2VT — Bike to Vermont — a genuine long-haul endurance ride that's become our annual test of whether all those casual lunch rides actually built up any fitness. (Results: mixed. Vibes: immaculate.)
Somewhere around our second B2VT, we started asking a bigger question: what if the miles we were already riding could do more than earn us a burrito? That's the direction we're pushing now — turning our rides into real support for local charities, through both donations and volunteer time. Read more on our Charity page.
